How are you serving your veteran community? Are you connected to the more than 200,000 people leaving active military service every year? Are you employees skilled in guiding or assisting this community with transitional or employment issue? Are your employees veterans? In 2014, I developed a military outreach program that has been nationally recognized. In 2021 a bill was presented in congress that will fund this program in your department. Our program has been very successful and we want to share it with you!

Our mission is to reduce the number of veteran and first responder suicide victims through early intervention. We intend to achieve this by providing our nation’s first responders with the ability to recognize transitional or Post Traumatic Stress, the knowledge of how to connect with the service members and the community resources to make referrals. Our nation's first responders routinely have contact with struggling veterans long before they reach crisis. This pre crisis contact is the key to reducing the veteran suicide rate.
